Portugal 2025
In July 2025, I spent one week in and around Lisbon, Portugal's capital city. This was my first time being to Portugal in general and I travelled and saw a lot – I wanted to make the most out of my limited time there.
Sporting my trusty Nikon SLR, a beaten up Holga toy camera and truly copious amounts of black and white film, I tried bringing some part of the south back home with me. The results of this endeavour are to be found here in this online gallery.
Please note: almost one year later, this gallery still is a work-in-progress page as I have yet to process some film and print relevant negatives! I'll keep on adding to this gallery.
Technical Details...
All photos in this gallery are silver gelatin darkroom prints, made by hand, enlarged from film negatives.
Film stocks include the Kentmere Pan series as well as Ilford FP4+ and HP5+; all film was developed in either Rodinal or XT-3 (Xtol).
I used a diverse list of photo papers, most of which are quite old and rare at this point:
- Agfa Multicontrast
- Foma Fomatone
- Forte Polywarmtone
- Ilford Multigrade
- Labaphot Labaspeed
