Northern Europe 2025

Northern Europe Icon

Throughout 2025 and January 2026, I spent some time travelling Northern Europe. None of my trips there were photo-centric, nevertheless I could not help but capture some sights that delighted me – the prints of which I have organized on this gallery page. My trusty Nikon F3 and Olympus point-and-shoot camera were my tools of choice for this task.

Please note: almost one year later, this gallery still is a work-in-progress page as I have yet to process some film and print relevant negatives! I'll keep on adding to this gallery.

Technical Details...

All photos in this gallery are silver gelatin darkroom prints, made by hand, enlarged from 35mm film negatives (Kentmere Pan series and rebrands in XT-3/Xtol and Rodinal).

I used a diverse list of photo papers, most of which are quite old and rare at this point:

  • Agfa Record-Rapid
  • Foma Fomabrom
  • Foma Retrobrom
The prints were developed using Moersch photo chemicals: some in lith developer, most in normal developer. Most of the prints were toned in selenium and/or thiourea sulphur.
